Budapest Day 2
We decided to have a rest day and went to one of the thermal spas recommended by a Hungarian friend. The Gellért Thermal Baths are attached to the famous Hotel Gellért - see link https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gell%C3%A9rt_Baths.
It is pretty amazing, built in the rather extravagant Seccession style, surrounded by beautiful gardens. We found some lounges in the shade and ‘chilled out’ - a bit of a misnomer as it was 36degrees. We tried the pools which vary from 30 to 39 degrees and also the famous indoor pool pictured in the Blip. The outdoor pool was a pleasant 30 degrees and became a wave pool every hour (see extras). We also indulged in a relaxation massage with rosemary oil then finished off reading a book.
