Hanbury

For the third day running we went out to a stately home, today was the turn of Hanbury Hall, the National Trust property near Droitwich.  The weather was a little iffy but luckily we were ensconced in one of the garden summer houses with our picnic lunch when there was a heavy shower.

We took the tour of the house before lunch, after coffee, then went back in freeflow to have a look upstairs.  On display were various prints by Hogarth produced in 1732 including the six engraving series of A Harlot's Progress.

There is a series of stone steps leading up to the Long Gallery, which is outside of the house in the garden, each step has a flower pot, this is one for Flower Friday hosted by Biker Bear.

The extra is a bird we spotted within the lilies on the pond.  We’re not sure what it is?
