Rochester Castle

Back in Rochester this morning with N for a little date for our 94th Monthiversary - we were booked on the 10:30am boat tour.

We arrived early, having dropped L at nursery first and headed straight down there. We found somewhere for quite a large and very delicious breakfast before making our way to the pier. When we got there a lady interrupted us to say that she was booked on the tour too but she’d just had a call to say it was cancelled! After calling the tour company ourselves, we found out the same thing. Apparently they’d left a message on our home phone answer machine around 45 mins before - no good to us, we were tucking into our breakfast already in Rochester. Needless to say, we were not impressed.

This afternoon I went to visit a very sick friend in hospital for a couple of hours. She is in isolation so I needed to wear a gown, gloves and a mask to go into her room. My heart goes out to her.
