It's always something
I blipped these nasturtiums earlier in the summer, when they were just beginning their growth, and was delighted with how wonderfully they'd grown. I love the shadows from the neighboring plants and trees.
Today I saw the hand doctor about the pain in my left wrist, which I thought was tendinitis, easily treated. X-rays showed that it is actually arthritis, which means it will worsen over time. Now I've got a neoprene brace supporting my thumb and wrist, and a referral to a hand therapist who will build a stronger brace molded to my own hand. The doctor recommended anesthetic patches to help with the pain. I'm not sure how an anesthetic on my skin will help a problem with the bone, but I'll give it a try. I really like this doctor - she's easy to talk with and yet very professional.
The new recliner arrived and I realized I'd bought the wrong one. Although I thought I'd spent enough time sitting in it in the store, I realized that there is no way I can make it comfortable for myself. So I will be returning it and picking out another one, with Endless Weekend along to make sure I don't mess up again. Of course there is a substantial "restocking" fee.
It's just one thing after another, isn't it. Fortunately I am still able to bounce back from the downers.
