Welcome Back!

We used to have pileated woodpeckers visit our feeders frequently until logging occurred up the hill just north of us, and they disappeared for more than a year. We were thrilled to have a pair return for a brief visit today -- just long enough for me to change my lens and get a few shots.

One bird was having a bad feather day (extra).
