Getting ready

Somebody pointed out on Blip today that it is 4 months till C...…..

We spent some time in one of our sheds the other day, clearing some stuff, moving other stuff to more suitable locations.  W brought in these lovely old wooden boxes.  His dad (who died back in 1978) kept artist materials/calligraphy equipment in them.

W hadn't really sorted them since arriving in the UK in 2004!

One still had some artists materials in - most of which were definitely past their best, and are now in the bin.  It is now just "a box of boxes" - neither of us like throwing away boxes.

The other is full of Christmas decorations, bought in Germany who knows when, and never taken out of their packets.  It is entirely possible we will not bother with a Christmas tree this year, as we may well be celebrating on our own, but if we do, it is going to German themed!  Meanwhile, they can be stored in the loft, still in their wrappings, and still in their lovely wooden box.
