Defiant Gulls

"I can sit anywhere I want!" this gull is saying. Notice that he is completely stepping on the string on our wharf railing designed to keep the birds from perching there. :-)
And there is fresh poop too. Oh well, it's their world.

I tried to see if I could actually post a picture to flickr with this slow internet. So, HERE is how it looked from the top of the hill on the island today. No blue sky. Weather report says a storm and rain are coming! But it looked so green and grey - much different from all the colors in Seattle right now. The best we have for color is one bigleaf Maple. Peaceful day.
