Life through the lens...

Turning.

At last our “ Heartbreaker” tomato plant is turning colour.
They are quite sweet, but not very juicy. Maybe they will get better.

Lovely sunny day, although a bit nippy out of the sun.
I picked some more blackberries, but with yesterday’s rain they are a bit soggy.
Still will be OK for making pies etc.

A bit of pottering in the garden, and have another bag of rubbish for the tip.
Just don’t know how it accumulates!

Looking forward to having one of our special bottles of red wine with our meal tonight.
Should go well with the rump steak, roasted garlic and rosemary potatoes, and our homegrown runner beans.
Followed by blackberry and apple pie. Will be having it with locally made vanilla ice cream which is delicious.May be a bit expensive but worth it for the taste.
Also for Apero, we have some blue cheese and walnut fougasse. Again made by a local artisan bakery.
The steak also comes from cows reared by the local farmer/ butcher.
We are so lucky that although we live in the middle of the West Riding we are able to buy all this local produce.

Hope you are all having a good Bank Holiday Saturday.
