A walk along Arbroath Clifftop Path

A lovely sunny day

After a lazy morning we decided to get back into walking after our exertions of last weekend’s Kiltwalk so we headed to the Arbroath Cliffs. After the obligatory chips and sandwiches in the Arbroath Harbour we began our walk along the Cliff Path. The weather was warm and very little wind.

In fact we walked further than we have done before and saw some remarkable formations. The Cliffs are red sandstone and subject to considerable erosion. They are dangerous and we kept well clear of the edges. In total we walked nearly two and a half miles, which was far enough for our first outing.
