Komani Lake

Not many hours sleep as had to get away to drive to the ferry along Komani Lake. There's a very long narrow lake most of the way across the north of Albania (with several arms as well) formed by damming the Dim River (3 dams in total so 3 levels of the lake). A ferry makes a 2 1/2 hr journey along the spectacular flooded gorge and then we had a short drive and a 3 mile uphill walk to the guesthouse.
The ferry journey is  "one of the world's great boat trips" according to Bradt.
