Brilliant day at Earth & Fire pottery event ...

We went on this 'road trip' as I really wanted to get my nephew and his wife some bowls as our wedding present - by a particular, German, potter. Long but fabulous day. Mission accomplished and I even managed not to acquire any of the other potters' work included here - on the main pic and my extras. I could have spent a fortune but we don't have a spare inch for them at home. The main image made me laugh out loud though. Pottery as therapy ... just looking at it mind you ... works for me.

This is a back blip (catch up time) I was really saddened to read of Janice Tchalenko in Saturday's Guardian (25 Aug). She was generous to a fault when I was introduced to her around 1985 or so and I came away from her studio glowing with her wisdom as well as with 2 wonderful bowls!
