Porty prom

We took the boys to Portobello prom this afternoon for some sunshine and fresh, salty air. I took a few photos but have chosen to put this one up as today's offering.

This is a view from the prom looking east. Past the beach in the foreground we see a bus going along Eastfield Road. Beyond that, to the left, we see the masts of some boats in Fisherrow harbour and Musselburgh sprawling out behind with the hills and sky beyond. The bad weather implied in the foreboding sky never quite got to us today (so far).

I like the light in this picture and the way the telephoto squashes everything together.
