View from the Canal Embankment
Sunrise is now at the much more reasonable time of 6:10 am in this part if the UK, so the early morning walk tends to coincide with the sunrise. Even so this was the critical moment when for a few short seconds the sun's position coincided with the gap in the clouds. Reading what will happen with the sunlight is never easy and despite my prediction that the sun would reappear quite soon after this, it didn't, as the clouds moved west in concert with the rising sun. A return of mist was very welcome though it had a distinct autumnal feel this morning.
