The most enormous cucmber I've ever seen!

My sister's garden produce is fab. Today we chopped her tomatoes in with this mega cucumber to make a good couscous mixed salad. Last night P whipped up a yummy spiced apple cake from a handfull of windfalls (not much left) and tonight we will enjoy fresh raspberries. Just great ...

The village has a single Georgian street leading to the Thames bridge over to Streatley. Fanning out are Victorian and later houses ... but it hasn't lost its village feel. The peace was broken today, though, by huge numbers (it seemed) of scooters and motorbikes pausing on some mega adventure. Quite the talking point with 'the local' as we took the cat home from a quick trip to the vets. My novice insulin injecting seems to be doing some good! Ozzy's glucose level is down and he's starting to gain some weight ... phew!
