Sunset on Lake Naivasha
As the sun goes down the hippos start to come in closer, with sharp eyes you can spot their ears amongst the lake weeds as they come out of the water and onto the lawn. Tonight, after we'd finished our boat trip, the guards came to get us as two hippos had come right up to the house. They were quite casually eating their way from one side of the lawn to the other. They are impressively large and intimidating. It was hard to see them in the dark until our eyes adjusted and reminded me to use my torch later when I make my way back from the bar to my room - I wouldn't want to walk into one of them on my way back :-)
