Best day of the week!

What a great day it turned out to be. We had been checking the weather and Wednesday had seemed to be the only day of the week scheduled for no rain. My brother was coming over from Manchester for the day so we decided to go for a boat trip on Windermere.

We took the first boat of the day at just before 10am and disembarked at the pier about a mile from Ambleside. We all walked into the town and went for a cup of tea in the Priest Hole. It was without a doubt the best cup of tea that I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Fresh tea is the way forward.

We reversed the trip back to the pier and had a picnic in the park before catching the ferry back to Bowness. The lovely day was rounded off by being taken out to dinner by brother. If Carlsberg made days......
