Highland Friends

Hello there! I must admit I didn’t expect to find these Highland cattle so close to the south coast today. Probably no more than they expected to see me, as a relative intruder so close to their rich grazing lpasture which is pretty lush being so close to the water, in spite of the virtual drought conditions we experienced during much of August.

But then Highland breeds are by no means exclusive to the Highlands of Scotland, although that’s where the breed originated.

In fact these three took scant notice of my presence once they realised I was there. Of much greater priority it seemed, was to continue munching.

After all, it was 5 o’clock. Tea time!
