An Orkney Beach

The Current Mrs Creel spent a lot of her childhood on this beach. Her granny was the Rackwick teacher too.

All those formative years were all worthwhile today as she baked one of her special chocolate cakes.  It’s the only chocolate cake I will eat.  The recipe is courtesy of Fiona in Aberdeen who once baked it for us once on Islay.  It’s difficult to keep track at times.

I hope you all remember who was voted ‘the wittiest person of 2002’.  She was a gem and died tragically young at only 48.  Yes it was La Doyenne of Comedy Linda Smith.  She insisted in being called a ’comedienne’ in tribute to Beryl Reid.
