Colour clash?...

.. Can colours really clash in nature?
I intuitively wanted to title this one 'brindle and briar', then looked up the definitions of both and bottled it, feeling 'what was I thinking?'

Misgivings R Us.

I have been running on adrenalin for a few days now but am pleased to say that the feeling one should be experiencing regarding a building project (i.e. excitement) is now all present and correct.
However, we are in a frightful state of rubble.
The floor tiles, which should in an ideal scenario, have 'flicked up', have definitely not read the contract. They are clinging, with the strength of Super Limpets to the floorboards.
A heavyweight machine has been hired to help.
It very swiftly lay down on the floor (alongside the builder) in a limp heap, and in a final act of defiance blew the electrics!
At the same time, the juddering of it, shaking the whole house, nudged a little gadget off the cistern in the upstairs loo, which started a small flood in the bathroom :-)
You couldn't make it up!

Despite all of the above, it's going really well!

The wine forecast was correct last night!
It'll be Large.
