Street Orderly Boy in Paddington Street Gardens

The inscription on the lower plinth reads: "Street Orderly Boy presented to St Marylebone by Alderman David Isaacs, 1943". Apparently this is an old fashioned work for a street cleaner - mainly of "horse waste". Look here for more info: http://catsmeatshop.blogspot.com/2010/08/street-orderlies.html.
