Rainbow over the Amazon

We were met at the airport by a rep from the La Selva lodge and handed our boarding passes. Short flight to Coca where we were met and transferred to a boat to take us up the Napo River to the lodge. Landed on the side of the river and after a short walk we took a canoe river along the small tributary into the lagoon on which the lodge sits.  After the welcome presentation we went to our room, which overlooks the lagoon before having lunch. We were taken out for an afternoon walk through the rain forest and a bit of a paddle around the lagoon. Saw a few squirrel monkeys and Macaws before going back for happy hour and dinner. N managed to find a pink toes tarantula on one of the trees near out room. Seems this is his home.
