DIY

I used to do all sorts of DIY jobs in the house, and enjoyed making things, but I've hardly touched my tools for the past couple of years. Today we were clearing out a shelf in the press to use for the big poly box where we'll keep the bulk dog food and I realised that we could do with another shelf [see extra] above the place we keep the hoovers - yes we have two, thanks to Biologist, since her old one should be better at getting up dog hair. On the trip to B&Q to get the dog food box, I tried to take a short cut back ,and ended up traversing a strange hinterland inside the ring road. There are isolated villages and groups of houses which seem random if you don't know that Monktonhall Colliery used to stand in the middle of the area.
