I was cursing a bit, having left the warm dry ‘east’ for the murk and mizzle of a very humid Borrowdale. I’ve never been up to Millican Dalton’s cave so ventured into the steaming woodlands of Castle Crag where mushrooms seemed to sprout as soon as I glanced at a bit of moss and leaf litter.

Did the route in reverse and back again to the van ...luckily I’d bought a change of clothes. My knees are now very annoyed with me.
