An English pursuit?

Today Pat and Val held a charity BBQ in their garden in Fourstones village. They were raising money for Tynedale Hospice at Home.

There were a good number of the walking fraternity there, plus their friends and neighbours from the village. The food was very good and we enjoyed ourselves. I was able to take Mum in her wheelchair. Lots of people came and sat next to her to talk to her, so that was great.

Is the raffle an English/British affair? Do you have these in the USA and elsewhere? Sadly we won nothing and the top prize went to the organisers! (Hmm......)

Last night Oscar and Daisy stayed in the house. At 0400 they both started shouting and did not stop, so I let them go out. Daisy has come and gone all day; Oscar returned this evening. He used to be silent and now has a very loud voice!!
