Sea-riously ugly

My sister and I went to the Bergen aquarium. Kim and Amy the sea lions put on a good show, which included the retrieval of a plastic water bottle from the tank floor, and associated environmental messaging.

The aquarium had some good exhibits including a huge circular room showcasing different marine biomes. These wolffish are spectacularly ugly but fascinating. I like to champion species that are overlooked for being displeasing to the eye, which is why I reserve a special interest in the likes of hyenas, mudskippers and saiga antelope. As well as very many other species where nature has not dealt a generous hand.

One of the final activities in Norway was a last visit to the coffee house, where staff handed out free muffins. Another win for Norway.
