READING TIME

Hi there everyone. Not as nice a day as yesterday, unfortunately! Very overcast & dismal! We collected our grandchildren at 11am, and took them back to our house. This photo is of Kyra helping Lewis with reading, as he isn't as good as she is! He does have trouble with the bigger words. Kyra nearly always knows them. I then did some telling the time, and shoelaces. Lewis has mastered the shoelaces, but not Kyra.  (her answer is "why do I have to know, when I don't wear lace up shoes"!!) What one is good at, the other is not so good, so it is very helpful that they can help each other.
At 3pm we went back to their house. They will be having bacon, cheese and pasta bake for tea.. Dominic will be home at around 9.15pm, when he will then take the dog for a walk, and I will go home at 10pm.
I think I then have 3 days free! Time to catch up on other stuff!

PS; in this modern, digital world, I feel that children are a lot slower learning the basics, like the clock, and shoelaces etc. Everything is made too easy for them!
