... but I prefer reading.

There was probably a time when books were frowned on much like cinema, television and smartphones all have at different times. Each age brings its obsessions. And each age finds out eventually that the medium is not the message, that every boon is also a potential burden, and that the key is balance.

For my part, rediscovering books and reading has been a huge joy this year. This is my current pile; the only one I’ve finished is The Blind Assassin but I am halfway through The Robber Bride.

A hard day in the office. I feel sluggish and am finding it difficult to concentrate. The Dizzle picked me up after he had been for a country walk and we spent a pleasant hour in a pub on the way home...
