Rail Fanning in Colorado

My wife and I are in Glenwood Springs Colorado-the real one! Going to ride bikes the next two days on the Rio Grande Trail - a 42 mile bike path that replaced a DRGW line that went from here to Aspen.

Walking back to the hotel after dinner we were treated with the arrival of the Amtrak Calfornia Zephyr. Hope to ride it in the next few years - a bucket list item. Not as nice as the fancy fast trains in Europe but it is what we have. The scenery is great however. Fun that the Amtrak train I have in n scale at home is pretty much a dead ringer for this consist.

The extra is the station, tracks, and Colorado River. Would have loved to model the whole scene but that would take up all the room I have.
