Relaxation

The view across part of the little club where we are staying. It is easy to see the barren volcanic landscape which rises high around the green valleys. In many places there are large dried out river beds. I can only begin to imagine how they must look when the water pours off the hillsides and fills them. I’d be interested to come here in the Spring when it is cooler and greener, to walk and enjoy the flowers and birds.

A day of more swimming, yoga and reading. Andy had a good sail - steady wind in a boat which responded well to his wishes (unlike the previous day when the main sheet was too short). For those of you interested in sailing, he is on a Laser dinghy.

In the evening we walked to the village and ate at one of the local restaurants. We were sat on a wooden balcony right at the waterfront. As the light fell we watched as little fishing boats travelled out and then returned to the harbour, their coloured lights flashing as they made their way across the dark water.
