Bordeaux
visited the Cite de Vin this morning. A rather large museum dedicated to wine. Although the displays were very interactive and well presented there was far too much to take in during one visit. I particularly liked the section about the 'senses' that had various things to smell including pencil shavings and old books! Think I may avoid those wines. The extra shows the variation in colour of 'white wines'. On the way there we noted the bridge raising up and rushed to the viewing gallery on arrival in time to see a large cruise ship go through. Its unusual in the the whole centre section of bridge rises up on 4 columns.
Wandered around town later and had another look at the 'mirroir d'eau' . Its a large expanse of water reflecting the buildings behind it.Like yesterday it was slightly breezy and lots of people were passing through it giving poor reflections however they then drained the water giving clearer reflections on the wet paving.
Enjoyed Bordeaux and hopefully will return one day to see a bit more of it.
