I almost forgot to take a photograph at all today, it wouldn't really matter, it doesn't have to be every single day, I just fancy getting the “400-in-a-row” badge, and then I'm good.

It was rainy and dismal so the crackly waterproof cycling trousers got to see more daylight than the camera did today. One day I'll get a picture of the timber yard surrounding the office and all its frantically busy little fork-lift trucks, but not today.

I must confess I am struggling a little; new job, long day, complex journeys, systems and procedures to learn, that all goes into Slot 1 – “Acclimatising to my new life”

Slot 2 includes keeping all my personal friends updated with “How I'm coping” and naturally that needs to be on an individual basis, lucid and prompt. We'll call that “Maintaining normality”

Slot 3 is “Next Steps” which is all the really big and new stuff. I am finding that lawyers can be lovely, banks can be frustrating and estate agents can be over-enthusiastic. Bring it on!
