Golden spire
It had been quite a while since I'd visited Titchmarsh local nature reserve, high time I returned. Armed with camera and a change of footwear, I wasn't sure what i'd find. Thankfully I'd made a good choice of the alternative footwear - it was bordering on requiring wellies and I'll bring those with me next time I go. The last few weeks have been shadowed by the news that a close relative of mine is very ill, still inconclusive what exactly is wrong. Despite this, we must all carry on, and take things day by day. Today's visit to the reserve was a welcome retreat, to a reserve that never fails to impress. Showing part of the route alongside the Nene river, I thought this cascade of golden oak leaves looked loosely like a church spire.
