Vive la Vie

Funday!

A fun day in so many ways:

1. The kids didn't wake up until 7.30am.

2. After a leisurely breakfast we put on rain suits and went to our local park to ride bikes. Olivia was resistant at first as she thought it would be too difficult to ride on 'bumpy' roads and in the rain, but it turned out she was an absolute star and had nothing to worry about. Not sure what people must have thought of the crazy woman running backwards and forwards between two kids on bikes clapping her hands, whooping with delight and giving high fives.

3. A picnic lunch on the floor in the living room. I set up the blanket and food while Olivia arranged the cushions and toys and Dexter.

4. BCT (Brussels Childbirth Trust) Christmas arts and crafts funday. Dex had no interest in doing any arts and crafts and was quite happy playing with the cars in the little creche that had been set up in a corner of the room. Olivia was keen to get to work and was delighted that Dex had no interest as it meant she got to use his 'passport' card to do more activities and create some lovely little Christmas presents for Grandparents. My cakes from yesterday went down a storm and out of all the choice from chocolate cakes, banana cakes , crispie cakes, cookies etc, my kids chose my cakes and I had to pay for them in order for them to eat them!! Oh well, it was all for a good cause.

5. Daddy arrived back home just in time for bed time stories to the delight of the kids - hurrah!
