Shugborough

I returned to Shugborough before the crowds descended and enjoyed a very quiet and beautiful walk through the grounds. I had quite a choice of possible blips, but the house in all its glory, minus parked cars and visitors, seemed too good an opportunity to miss.

I was too slow to capture my experience of the morning - two flashes of blue as two kingfishers headed off from the Essex Bridge. But I did manage to get a photo of the rarer wagtail as I enjoyed a gentle half hour getting used to my new binoculars. (That’s how I saw my kingfishers and the wagtail)

Two riders crossed the river (extra) as I watched.

I’ve been rather concerned by the news about the BA hack. I booked my May Madeira flight during the danger period, but I’ve contacted my card issuer and had reassurances...... and I’ll be monitoring things closely now.
