Eastern side view of Hartbeespoortdam.

This is the first view of our dam when returning home from Pretoria side. This picture was taken from the car on a bridge crossing the river as we approach town.

The Dutch Windmill on the left is Jasmyn, our fantabulous Fresh Produce Market and Restaurant. The trees and wild grass are so lush, you can hardly see the enormous double story thatched roof building.

On the fááár right of the picture are houses on a green hill in front of the mountains, that is more or less where our house is. The whole estate is situated on the Eastern bank of the dam.

I took a long walk late this afternoon, saw the Spotted 'Dikkop' Burhinus Capensis which I blipped on 31/01/2009, and many more lovely bird species, but they are quite wild, I could not get one single good shot to blip : (
