Summer's End?

Rain.

Lovely rain.

I never thought I would say that. Not having spent a summer on the Scottish Borders. Beautiful but mostly underwater, was the best way to describe them.

But after two months of scorching heat, a little light rain comes as a pleasant distraction. Not to the Spanish drivers who fall off roundabouts at this time of year, but to those of us who like sitting on their covered terrace with a coffee, listening to the falling rain.

We have a week of thunderstorms forecast. 

That should be fun.
