Day Seven: France 2018

Backblipped 8th Sept 
 
We had a bit of a lazy morning today with a leisurely stroll round the town to find breakfast and then we packed the car up and headed back off up to Dijon – arriving in perfect time as the rain stopped!
 
Had another great wander around the town, exploring and finding all sorts of deliciousness for our evening meal as we were off to a treehouse in the middle of the woods and it was going to be another picnic! 
 
Whilst we knew in advance that we’d have to sort our own dinner, I’d neglected to read the bit about bringing your own bed linen and towels until we were in France! Oops! 
 
We had travel towels with us so figured we’d be fine – however what they hadn’t told us until their welcome email, sent whilst we were already in France, was that bedding was also not provided! Cue purchase of emergency cheap pillows in Dijon and stuffing more clothes into the overnight bag!! 
 
The treehouse was quite amazing and we had a fabulous picnic watching the sun go down (extras). And in reality the bed actually did have a couple of small cushions and a throw, so with plenty of clothes on we were surprisingly okay when it came to bedtime!
