A gateway

Before I left Oxford this morning I had a few minutes to explore the lovely buildings that go to make up Pembroke College where I was staying ( in a Fellows Guest room on one of those “stairs” you read about in novels.)

I was particularly fascinated by this gateway between perfectly maintained open spaces - a very human architecture.

It was the most peaceful part of the day. The flight to Edinburgh was bumpy and there was chaos at Edinburgh airport caused by an event at Ingilston . It took 45 minutes to get through the pick up point and another 20 minutes to get to the A8 . The contrast is shown in my extra picture ...!
