A Sunday Stroll

We had a relatively lazy morning, but Alan managed to sleep for about 9 hours which is great, and he's been ok for most of the day, although coffee and cake helped!

The main thing he wanted was fresh air after sitting in a plane for over 12 hours yesterday, so we drove to Seaford.  It was high tide when we got there, so I wanted to go to Splash Point (see extra), which I've blipped before and as we were walking towards it, the curves here caught my eye.

We called into the Seaford Museum to see if Marion was on duty, but she wasn't, so then we jumped back in the car and drove down to near the sailing club where we parked up as I wanted to show Alan the ruins at Tide Mill.  We found a few things that Chrissy and I didn't see the other day - a horse bath and trough in the old stables.  We then found he old sea plane base, by which point we saw the ferry coming in from Dieppe and as we're going on her on Thursday I wanted to watch her come into the port, so we walked along the beach to the harbour wall.

We stopped off at the White Cliffs Cafe for a coffee and cake for Alan (I had a shandy), and then we came home and I went in the hot tub while Alan played with his new air rifle and the lamb shanks were cooking in the slow cooker.

It's lovely to have him home, and I can't wait for our trip to France this coming week to celebrate our wedding anniversary :-)
