Blackheath Neighbourhood centre face
Here is my BBC moment between heavy downpours . The 'face ' of this little centre symbolizes some years of Community Centre work I have enjoyed/learnt from and lumped through in other places:- the open doors /mouth ready to share hundreds of informative flyers , the wide eyes viewing the street, the public art to vibe up the usual old Council building.
These 'eyes' also remind me of being behind them - which was backstage amongst anxious, colorful, ego-focused, talented people of all ages preparing to go on stage and entertain for the Rhodo Review.
And the practical bits around the centre: the seat, the signs for cars, the invitation into the park next door with the blooms....and of course The Bin...visible as a hint of the squeeze for space.
