Day 1 Chicago

Need to write this quickly before I pass out with exhaustion! Have now been awake 24 hours.

Pretty good flight over to Chicago, bit of an epic trip getting from the airport to the city but all was solved with an Uber.

Hotel is ok- biggest bed I’ve ever seen! We ate lunch in Ditkas which is next to the hotel. Apparently Mike Ditka was some kind of football legend and Rich as very happy to be there. Somehow managed to eat a salad, but at least it had steak in it!

We went over to the John Hancock centre observatory- it’s on the 94th floor and the views were stunning - as with this photo I loved seeing the building shadows cast across Lake Michigan. Glorious weather too

We had baseball tickets so decided to get to the ground early. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and for some reason we got given free Chicago Cubs alarm clocks?!

Decided that as we were both nodding off we best get home early which also had the benefit that the trains weren’t rammed.

So we are now back at the hotel in the giant bed and looking forward to a full day of exploring tomorrow! Zzzzzzzzz
