The Woodyard
An overcast day afforded the possibility of donning the chainsaw trousers and attacking the mountains of wood we have. All a bit frustrating at first until I copped on that the chain had worn to its teeth's limits.
I popped down to Simone's just before lunch and they put a new chain on for me. The difference was incredible and even the relatively hard acacia wood succumbed with ease. I tackled one of the huge poplar trunks and there is still a bit to do. But it was a good and encouraging start. A lot of splitting to be done but that is for cooler weather as the sun and anomalous heat is set to return tomorrow.
Another fine evening al fresco with K and J. Octopus was on the menu and very tasty it was indeed.
