Take 2

A while ago a student at the local University in Preston asked me for an interview so he could write a short article about "an inspirational person." He seemed to think I fit the bill and I was impressed by the research he'd done to prepare himself. He wrote a very good piece too.

At the end of last week he contacted me to ask if he could do a follow up to the Torch story, and take in The Olympics this time.

They were told last Friday and the deadline is this Friday. When we met he was a talking about how short the deadline was. "Welcome to the real world of journalism: the deadlines will only get shorter", was my response.

Again he had prepared himself well, with about 8 questions. He wanted about 10 minutes that he could edit down to about 2 0r 3 minutes.
Anyway, in 10 minutes we'd got through 2 questions :) Well, I do talk for a living :)

So he had enough to meet his deadline and I got a 10K run done as well tonight. I really felt I was running hard tonight and it felt great.
