Cheers Reg
Drink with me
To days gone by
Sing with me
The songs we knew
Today we bid a fond farewell to Reg, who passed away last week.
The words from Les Miserables seemed appropriate as I looked for a blip tonight.
A friend of the family read Joyce Grenfell's poem
If I should go before the rest of you
Break not a flower nor inscribe a stone
Nor when I'm gone speak in a Sunday voice
But be the usual selves that I have known
Weep if you must
Parting is hell
But life goes on
So sing as well.
After the funeral service there was an opportunity to remember and smile about Reg.
A few of us recalled the many times he would tell us at a race "I'm not racing today, just enjoying the run". And then he would beat us :)
God Bless you Reg.
Cheers
