First, I have to give props to my cousin who suggested that I write the shortcut-of-the-day on the stem of the purple orchid. If she hadn't made that suggestion, I probably would have just written it on the back of the petals.

Wow, I am on a roll - this is my third vertically-oriented photograph in a row.

And hurray - another organic piece of evidence! And in case you were curious, the mini mandarin orange peel actually dried up pretty well - you can still clearly read the black text that was written on it.

This beautiful flower was taken from the bbq peking duck dish from my uncle's birthday dinner at a chinese restaurant - it had served as a garnish, and now it's living an extended life as my daily collection of evidence. I chose the Decrease/Increase Font Size ID shortcut as a typographical analogy to the life cycle of a flower bud.

I wanted to test just how waterproof this Staedtler permanent Lumocolor pen really is, so I placed the orchid in a tiny shot glass of water. It really is waterproof! And not to mention fast-drying. I highly recommend this marker. It writes well on most surfaces without barely a smudge, but the bleed power is high. Although, that depends on how much pressure you apply to the writing surface, and how long your pen tip lingers at one point.

I can't believe I have already reached the halfway mark in this project. These entries are going by really fast. Yikes, I should really start thinking about how to present these in the Layout portion of the course.

Now, to find a ziplock baggie big enough to fit the flower....

TYPE OF OFFENSE: graffiti on a living organism
