I don't understand why they have to use styrofoam* to package fruits like these asian pears. I know fragile fruits need a buffer of protection to prevent bumping and bruising, but why styrofoam?? Why not corrugated cardboard?

*I needed to google aka spellcheck 'styrofoam', and I stumbled across this lil tidbit of youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXjKYuD_AlY. Now I know why a spray of aerosol paint instantly dissolves a block of styrofoam;p

The 'Quick Apply' shortcut is of no relation to a styrofoam fruit sleeve, aside from the fact that it rapidly dissolves in acetone. Today, I learned that Quick Apply is extremely helpful when you are working with a ton of character styles. But the trick to using Quick Apply is that you also have to know what your styles are somewhat roughly titled - which is kinda difficult when you have over 20 styles and counting, and multiple subsets within each of those styles...

Yikes.

By the way, I do appreciate that my pears crunchy, not soft and mushy.

TYPE OF OFFENSE: abominable snowman-sized carbon footprint
SUSPECT: unsuspecting fruit packers
VICTIM: duh - your local landfills
