Playa de Ereaga

A trip out of Bilbao by Metro this morning to Portugalete, in order to have a ride on the Puente Colgante (also known as the Vizcaya or Bizkaia Bridge) - the oldest transporter bridge in the world.  This took me across the Ria del Nervion to the smart seaside town of Getxo, with its lovely and today crowded, beaches overlooked by grand houses or Grandes Villas. There was football training underway, although these were not the players of Athletic Bilbao or Real Madrid, who I will be going to watch this evening.
