A Lovely Day.

We decided today to go to the Carousel at the Oasis Shopping Centre.

The Carousel is 120 years old, but I don't know how long it's been in it's current place.  It's run by volunteers and all proceeds go to charity.

Unfortunately, in the last few years the Carousel has had to be extensively repaired.  So the Council have now decided they don't want to pay for it anymore, so they are closing it down.

Everybody is very sad about this as the children love it.  But the Council says the money that it costs to repair  would be better spent on other things.  Probably another jolly for them.

Isabella loved it and we've promised to go back again next week, it's last time of being open.

After the Carousel, we went and had a look at the beachfront markets.  I bought two lovely little dresses for Isabella's doll.

We then went for a quick walk on the beach, and then back to the Carousel for another ride.

Finally, we headed home, for sandwiches and cakes in the garden.

A lovely day, warm but with a strong breeze blowing.
