Day 13. Sinamangal

This bus is one of the many different means of transport in Kathmandu. There mini buses, micro buses, tempos, buses, taxis, etc... This young man is the "caller" who shouts the name of the place where the bus goes, he also collects the money once the paseengers gets their final destinations. Here we are in Sinamangal, an area in the east of Kathmandu, close to the International airport, a big and luxury golf course and slum. It will be our everyday bus stop.

Today we have better day at work. I am quite exciting with my new task... submit a proposal to get funding from the UNDEF to empower women and youth to participate in the democracy building process of Nepal... eeek It will be my first time to do that, so if you have any experience on it, please share it with us :-)

Highlights:
1. We saw Sewan this morning and showed us the vaccination card of the dog
2. We arrived early at work, in spite of the slow pace of work, we have more idea about what we are going to do for the next months
3. Santos called us to arrange another visit to a potencial flat for us. What a great young man.

Este autobús es uno de los muchos medios de transporte diferentes en Katmandú. Hay minibuses, autobuses micro, tempos, autobuses, taxis, etc .. Este joven es el "llamador", que grita el nombre del lugar donde el autobús se va, él también recoge el dinero una vez que los paseengers consigue sus destinos finales. Aquí estamos en Sinamangal, un área en el este de Katmandú, cerca del aeropuerto internacional, un gran campo de golf y el lujo y slam. Será nuestra parada de autobús todos los días.

Hoy tuvimos un mejor día en el trabajo. Estoy bastante emocionanda con mi nueva tarea ... presentar una propuesta para obtener fondos del UNDEF para empoderar a las mujeres y los jóvenes a participar en el proceso de construcción de la democracia de Nepal ... eeek Será mi primera vez en hacer esto, así que si usted tiene alguna experiencia en ello, por favor, compartala con nosotros :-)

Aspectos destacados:
1. Vimos Sewan esta mañana y nos mostró la tarjeta de vacunación del perro
2. Llegamos temprano al trabajo, a pesar de la lentitud de los trabajo, tenemos más idea de lo que vamos a hacer en los próximos meses
3. Santos nos llamó para fijar otra visita a un potencial apartamento para nosotros. Qué joven tan lindo.
