Darlington railway station cars
Most of those who were at last night's dinner stayed at the same hotel overnight, so the party continued a little longer over breakfast this morning.
Thereafter Mr hazelh and I caught the train home. The first part of the journey took us along the route of the first ever public railway, opened in 1825. This was quite exciting for me due to my interest in railways. I took my blip on platform 4 at Darlington. From here we caught an East Coast mainline train north to Edinburgh.
We're both very tired after all the partying at Acklam Hall and rather poor sleep in an over-heated hotel bedroom. It will be an early night tonight in the hazelh household.
Exercise today: walking (c 9,500 steps)
